EDU581 Research Design Capstone
On the completion of postgraduate study, as with any worthwhile education project, it is important to evaluate the effectiveness of the course. The postgraduate Education Masters usually will have taken a number of years and during that time students will have been engaged in a wide range of learning situations at personal and professional levels. This summative, capstone subject encourages reflection on the learning that has taken place specifically as a result of the MEd course. This engagement with professional learning is considered from the perspectives of course study, personal transformation, and assistance with government and school compliance and accreditation

This capstone, education research project involves the identification of a researchable problem within education and the application of a research methodology in order to solve the problem or give insights into its possible solution. Finally, a formal, short thesis is to be produced as a research report.
